Safety and Health Activities

NHN regularly inspects and manages its facilities and equipment at its premise to provide a safe and pleasant working environment. We have conducted a risk assessment in January 2022 and made improvement to areas identified with hazardous/ risk factors.

Risk Assessment

NHN conducts its own risk assessment every year to identify any harmful and risk factors in the office areas and facilities at the Play Museum and Play Hub (NCC1) data center, Pyeongchon IDC, Nonhyeon IDC. By determining the possibility (frequency) and severity (intensity) of injury or disease from harmful or risk factors, we evaluate risk factors in a scale of high/moderate/low level.

Risk Reduction Measures

We take risk improvement measures for items identified as having at a higher risk than normal to prevent occupational safety accidents. Risk improvement measures are notified to members and the progress of the company's safety measures is shared.

Measures to Prevent Industrial Accidents in Contracted Business

We provide monthly industrial safety education and quarterly material safety data sheet (MSDS) education and hold quarterly meetings to identify area that needs to be improved and implement improvement relevant measures.

Contractor Safety Inspection

Weekly and quarterly safety inspections are conducted using the safety inspection checklist for firefighting, electrical, and mechanical equipment of facilities used by contractors. We make efforts to prevent industrial accidents and minimize damage to contractors through regular safety inspections.

Healthcare and Disease Prevention

Health Care Program

NHN offers various systems to manage the physical and mental health of its members. We aim to detect and prevent occupational diseases and accidents at an early stage through comprehensive health checkup provided regularly every year. We operate an in-house infirmary and fitness center so that each employee will be encouraged to voluntarily manage one’s health - physical and emotional - and provide various programs such as professional personal training and medical counseling. Furthermore, a variety of balanced diet as well as low-sodium and low-calorie dishes are prepared daily by professional nutritionists and chefs at the cafeteria.

COVID-19 Response

After the spread of COVID-19, NHN set out countermeasures stronger than the government guidelines and applied them company-wide. We quickly transferred to work-from-home to reduce face-to-face contact and designated a ‘collaboration day’ so that each member is encouraged to go to the office at minimum. We also carried out disinfection process for the office building once a week and checked temperature for all visitors. Areas accessible to visitors were limited and installed partitions in the cafeteria and places where contact with outsiders is inevitable to prevent virus from spreading. We also gave two days of paid leave to employees after each vaccination round so that they can fully rest and in case of a confirmed COVID case in the company, we provided wholesome food for quick recovery. Last but not least, we also provided ‘In-mind,’ a psychological counseling service, for members who have accumulated psychological fatigue from the pandemic.

  • Quarantine kit provided to the families of members at the beginning of the spread of COVID-19

  • In-house Infirmary
