ESG Management Policy for Supply Chain

NHN is actively extending its ESG-driven management practices to include its suppliers, striving to achieve genuine sustainability. Our aim is to cultivate a mutually beneficial ecosystem with our suppliers and establish sustainable practices throughout the entire supply chain. To solidify our dedication to a responsible supply chain, we have crafted ESG Management Policy for Supply Chain with which we will incorporate ESG management into all stages of our engagement with suppliers in a systematic manner.

ESG Practice Guide for Supplier

The Supplier ESG Practice Guide outlines essential principles that encompass human rights, safety, environment, privacy, and ethics, promoting a collaborative partnership with NHN. We strongly encourage all our partners to adhere to this guide. By adhering to the guide, NHN expects suppliers to observe relevant laws and regulations that pertain to their business operations, as well as comply with NHN's ESG management policy. We expect such commitment to mitigate potential risks within the supply chain and fosters a collaborative environment conducive to mutual growth.

Supporting SMEs

NHN supports SMEs, startups, and micro-entrepreneurs with technologies, platforms, and services in various fields such as games, AI, commerce, content, and data. We aim to grow together with local communities, SMEs, and partners through such approach and commit yourself to meaningful changes in society with our technology and expertise.

NHN Academy Regional Campus

NHN Academy is a specialized educational institution dedicated to nurturing individuals with comprehensive skills in software development technology, to be equipped with both theoretical knowledge and practical expertise. The first NHN Academy campus was launched in Gimhae, Gyeongnam, in March 2022, followed by the successful opening of NHN Academy Gwangju in July 2022. By offering exceptional graduates from each campus with employment opportunities within NHN affiliates in the respective regions, NHN Academy has been actively contributing to the fostering local talent, creating job openings and promoting balanced regional growth. The curriculum, collaboratively designed by NHN's executives and the academy's education experts, has been crafted to enable trainees to acquire a diverse range of hands-on development knowledge and experience directly from NHN's dynamic work environment. Moreover, the project-oriented courses, directly linked to real companies, focus on cultivating a skilled workforce that can be injected into the professional field upon completion of the program.

Regional Data Centers and R&D Centers

Through regional data centers and R&D centers, NHN aims to spread IT technology that has been concentrated in the Seoul metropolitan area to local communities and contribute to job creation in the region. Established in 2023 in Gwangju and Gimhae, Gyeongnam, the NHN Cloud R&D Centers are staffed by local talents selected through the NHN Academy and headquarters dispatched personnel. Additionally, NHN Cloud Gwangju National AI Data Center, which began its official operation in October 2023, is responding to the demand for national AI infrastructure and establishing local AI industry ecosystem. Through the operation of data centers and R&D centers, NHN will continue to enhance its own technological competitiveness while organically expanding the local IT ecosystem and fulfilling its corporate social responsibility.
